The Symptoms Of Cancer Of The Uterus

Endometrial Cancer or Cancer of the Uterus is caused by cancer cell growth directly on the lining of the uterus. Most of the women mistake the vaginal bleeding to be caused by the menopause. This misconception is quite common.

We are going to see some of the symptoms that may or may not indicate cancer of the uterus. They can be due to other diseases also. To confirm if any of these symptoms, in fact, leads to cancer of the uterus, you should go see a doctor to confirm.

Some of the symptoms that have been observed in patients with cancer of the uterus:

* Pain in the pelvic region.

* Pain during urination.

* Bleeding from the vaginal region.

* Difficulty urinating.

* Vaginal discharge.

* Painful sensation while indulging in sexual relations.

Studies have shown that vaginal bleeding is the most common type of symptoms was observed. First, there is no bleeding, rather a discharge. This will be bleeding later.

The Types that are more prone to cancer of the uterus:

* Women aged 50 years or more.

* Hyperplasia of the endometrium.

* Women who have an increase in their hormone levels. These can be women who have fewer children, who have had ovarian tumors or undergone therapy for estrogen replacement.

Many factors must be taken into consideration. Factors such as the age, the advance of the cancer etc should be kept in mind.

The treatment is either one or a combination of these – surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

In the initial phase, if the spread of cancer is not that advanced, doctors will try to completely remove the cancer cells of the uterus of the woman. If the disease has progressed, in general there is a bit of surgery along with chemotherapy or radiation therapy. This helps to stop the growth of cancer cells in other parts of the body.

The good part about cervical cancer is that if it is detected early, then there’s a very good chance of healing completely. Patients are also invited to take part in events that can sometimes give very good results.

Other treatments also exist for uterine cancer:

* Following certain types of diets.

* The Acupuncture.

* Meditation also helps.

* Take sufficient amount of vitamins.

* Viewing and Spiritual healing.

There are many cases where women have believed that the alternative treatments have helped tremendously. This is not recommended, is to mix and match. It is always best to stick to a single plan of action – go the traditional route or an alternative, but not both.
