Spanx Underwear: The Perfect Way to a Slim-line Silhouette

Spanx2The Spanx underwear company was founded in the USA in 2000 by Sara Blakely. The idea came quite by accident. Ms Blakely had a full-time job in the city, working for a company that sold office supplies but, in her spare time, she was also a stand-up comedienne, and it was while preparing for a gig one evening that she became frustrated with the tights she was wearing, because the outline could be seen through her clothes.  She initially experimented with store-bought tights until she was happy with the results, then decided to market her newly-invented product herself.

She soon caught the attention of  Oprah Winfrey, the American show host and producer, and, with Oprah’s enthusiastic endorsement ringing in her ears, Sara’s brand, Spanx,  became a household name, expanding from a humble pair of tights to a vast range of body-sculpting shapewear products made by skilled seamstresses using high quality fabrics that have been specially developed to keep the wearer cool.

Women buy Spanx underwear simply because it does what the company says it will do.  It gives a perfectly streamlined silhouette when worn under any type of clothing, whether it be a simple combination of jeans and t-shirt, or an elegant evening dress.  Besides body-shaping tights, the range includes briefs that are cut to eliminate the infuriating ‘VPL’, the visible panty line that can ruin an otherwise classy outfit. Also available are high-wasted briefs that cover the parts of the thigh that many women are unhappy with, dress-length slips, tops that can be worn under t-shirts without the need for a bra, all-in-one body suits, even maternity underwear.  The latest news is that a selection for men is about to be launched, so there will soon be something for everyone.

Spanx underwear is the perfect way to achieve an enviable figure without the need for surgery, and is certainly a lot cheaper!
